For those who may not know me, I’m Ron Henry, BLACKRAPID’s Founder. I started out as a professional wedding photographer over 20 years ago when film was king. I have respect for working photographers; the demands can be great and sometimes you have one shot to hit it.
It was around my 7th year shooting professionally and hating camera straps, so I started to play around looking for a new idea. Fast forward a few years, and the BLACKRAPID camera sling was created. It revolutionized the camera strap market in 2008, “Turning the camera world upside down.”
Today, I shoot only for myself. My main focus has been BLACKRAPID and creating a culture behind the brand. That culture is our trademark, “Live The Moment.”
We have created a strap that helps the working photographer with your long days of shooting, so you can live your moment in comfort.
Our Breathe material and cross-body sling design helps keep a balance of weight. Once you try it you get it… You will forget you have a camera on.
